I’m not a great enthusiast for writing challenges, yet when Terry Barr sung the praises of this challenge containing my magic number 7, I thought, this shouldn’t be too difficult.

And here is the original challenge from Janice Harayda

As I scan my book shelves it’s fairly clear that my reading tastes dwell mostly within the realm of non-fiction.

Art and Architecture. Culture and Couture. Music and Nature.

Hardly the sort of stuff I’d feel inspired to drag away to a desert island.

As I redirect my gaze to the shelf holding the novels, yes, there is one or two featuring on Terry’s list but the central theme is overwhelmingly science fiction.
