It’s been over a year since I’ve ventured into my Alphabet of Creativity Series. However, after following some of the advice from Part One (H) and going for a little hike, I find myself back here.

A quick review of Part Two (Z) revealed that X was the next letter up. I didn’t remember that but my subconscious seemed to know. After having jotted down my 7 ways, there appeared to be a glaring omission: eXperimentation.

Yet, eXperimentation is embedded in all of these and that is the instruction manual. Each one is an experiment to try as a means to ignite your creativity.

Settle into an armchair with your pet axolotl, and let’s begin.

eXperience

We live in a fractal world where similar patterns repeat themselves at different scales. With a little photographic trickery, we can make a small rock look like a giant mountain.

In a world obsessed with big experiences, like climbing Mount Everest, how can we find small experiences within our immediate environment, that if we look at them in the right way, reveal a much bigger pattern?
