A little dispatch from the (white) colonies for you. I believe even QEII was puzzled that Australia hadn't become a republic yet, I think she might have even been a bit embarrassed. Kind of like ageing parents wondering when their 64 year old son is going to move out of the basement.
Yet the word of the street (well Sky News, anyway) is that now is not the time to talk republic. I'm a republican, but I'm also a pragmatist, and I tend to agree.
