As someone who loves computers and also spends a lot of time in the forest, singing with the birds, I’m not feeling a need to go anywhere. Heinlein’s axiom that we’re rationalising not ration still holds. For example, the Jan Sixers don’t believe the election to be stolen, they want it to be stolen. Thus, that seven inch device in their pocket is not a rational machine, merely a rationalising machine. Another typical product of human industry, not unlike the bible.
