Excellent Rick, not a perspective I would have thought about despite being a Beatles fanatic myself. I wonder the extent to which George Martin would have viewed this as a natural aspect of the Beatles looking for further colouration in the music? Before long, there was strings, piano and all manner of stuff. One area where Bob Dylan could have perhaps done with some lessons from John Lennon.
