Except possibly in Australia where the Easybeats were the closest thing we had to a real rock band in the 60s. Many hits beyond Friday On My Mind and Harry Vanda, George Young and Stevie Wright also figured prominently in the 70s. And of course, George's younger brothers Malcolm and Angus made a bit of name for themselves with their band.
