Fascinating, I was never aware of the moral dimension of the game. Maybe the real moral lesson is that one can acquire a sense of victory from a sequence of completely random events, and then attribute it to some sort of skill.

Or maybe the lack of moral messages on my snakes and ladders board means I grew up in the age of amorality.
