Having been in a similar place at various points in my life, the reverse always worked better for me, a bit of migrating, sure, but mostly adapting. I've never thought of you in terms of the angst, just a good writer. The Korn example is a good one, where could they have migrated too? Another label. No difference. They needed to adapt.
