Having grown up in Melbourne I walked a lot and felt mostly safe, although my wife didn’t entirely echo the same sentiment when we discussed it. Our son lives in Fitzroy and last time we visited it was hard to shake the feeling that things had changed. Is it me that’s changed, or the city, or a bit of both? I don’t know.
