I agree with you Walter. In researching another article I had a closer look at the Friedman Doctrine and he states “satisfying the shareholder” as the corporate goal. Even Milt would agree this should not always be interpreted as turning a profit. Your thesis is a perfect example of other sorts of “satisfaction” our overlords are looking for. Rigged, indeed.
