I always enjoyed the Darjeeling Express, Fantastic Mr Fox and the Tennenbaums. While those family dynamics might not be recognisable to some, they were familiar to me. By the time of Hotel Budapest, the Wes stylisation feels like it has taken over, and the whole thing is less compelling for it.
