I don’t think I ever read the newspaper from start to finish, but I certainly gave the album a repeat listen. It’s interesting how you mention the prog transition, as regardless of genre, they mostly manage to have a distinctive “Jethro Tull” sound. Possibly the flute!

It’s interesting with some older bands that you arrive at their catalogue fully formed, thus missing the various stages.
