I knew Dune (2021) was going to be a problem for Dune (1984). I love it, many, including David Lynch hate it, so what. Can’t we just leave it at that? It was very sad to hear that Charlie Watts die, yet why do some people see this as an excuse for a round of “the Beatles were crap” articles instead of celebrating the Stones?

Ok, I now move on to contradicting myself. Recently acquired a copy of the “Alan Smithee” cut of Dune. Now that is a disaster. Closer to the book, perhaps, but all the worse for it.
