I read this and assumed this was shaping up as a satire piece. Clearly not. Yet it points to the external worlds ability to shape things, failure included, into the most absurd terms.

Mistakes and failures aren't always measured relative to something sensible or meaningful.

I personally found this article very worthwhile and no amount of metrics will convince me otherwise.
