I remember driving around in cars, maybe not that fast, but hearing the passengers sing along, “be someone, be someone” like they were a million miles away. It connected with another strata of the zeitgeist. Were they thinking about the deeper meaning of the song? Maybe, maybe not. But rightly or wrongly, the music industry finds it difficult to find any judgement beyond commercial success.

That being said, Chapman is certainly deserving of a second wind.
