I think this encapsulated perfectly what AI Music will become, and as you say, it isn't really good news for those churning out generic pop. Like all digital incursions into the musical space, from Limewire to Spotify, and now AI, musicians will rely more heavily on live performance both for their earning and to assert that they're "The Real Thing".
The harsh truth for many creatives is that even without AI, it's only those artists in the top 1% that endure the test of time.
And the record companies and streamers will use any means necessary to pay the artists less, including AI.
