Hotgoogie is such an awesome place to work.
They may pay peanuts, but where else do they have monkeys living in the foyer green wall? They’ve also got a few orangutan on the Content Moderation Team.
At Hotgoogie, they really encourage me to lean in. I consider this to be a way to get in touch with my feminine side, which is great because they only seem to employ young straight white dudes.
Lately, I’ve been working on redesigning the photo sharing icon.
I’m not just passionate about email, I’m passionate about sustainability, too.
By slightly darkening the icon I’ve been able to achieve a massive energy saving in the display of 0.0003%, enough to keep a family of three warm for about half a millisecond, if we aggregate the energy saving across our 3 billion users.
Hotgoogie is such an environmentally friendly company!
Look, I know some people have been saying that this will be an energy increase in dark mode, but who uses dark mode anyway?
