I'm sorry to say, we actually got them going, though I expect things like this are highly dependent on water conditions and temperature and I'm hardly surprised they had a high failure rate. The ad, of course, was a slight(?) exaggeration though that was par for the course with most comic book advertising. "With these plastic shuriken, you'll be an instant ninja!"
