It’s Time! What time is it? Who has the time anyway?
Reflections on the passing of time and the Australian election.
Last night my wife and I were talking about how the writing was going. Since the start of the year things have been progressing well, yet over the last three weeks, I’ve published nothing.
No, I haven’t rekindled my passion for papier mache, I’m sticking with the writing, but you know, reasons.
The last three weeks have seen personal and global changes. My mother-in-law had a heart attack and has now moved in with us. She’s fine, and she’s fun to have around, but still, when space is limited a degree of coping is required from everyone. We also suspect she’s grooming Rex to become “her dog”.
“Oh, Rexie loves me, but I don’t think he likes you as much as he once did”.
Thanks grandma. Well, you’re not my grandma, but you’re someone’s grandma.
As for the globe, I don’t need to tell you.
This is part of the issue. the writing hasn’t stopped, but the words feel like a round peg in the square hole of issues at the moment.
There’s been some extensive rambling on the problems of gun violence, capitalism, politics, the anxiety…
