I've a shack in the mountains of Tasmania. I spend as much time there as I can. It's tiny, and I could imagine these issues if I was surrounded by farm land, but the main industry is logging which means maybe a few log trucks a day. Plenty of places to walk the dog. A disused rail line across the road, the riparian strip by the river and lots of Crown land.

Fresh air, nice neighbours and solitude if I choose. I prefer it to the city.
