I’ve had a few bootlegs in my time. Growing up in the 70s the main way we heard a lot of music was on cassette, another form of bootleg. That’s where I first heard Dark Side of the Moon. However, I’ve gone on to buy four copies in my lifetime, so Pink Floyd has done ok from me on that front. I think the reality is that anyone buying a bootleg has already invested heavily in the artist’s official releases.
