"Make you a star" was huge in Australia, and like Rock On, I think has aged well. David Essex was considered a bit sus for being "really, really good looking" rather than a beautiful freak, something he references in "Make you a star". More David Cassidy than David Bowie.

Recently picked up a second hand copy of the album from which "Make you a star" came. While it didn't all grab me it was certainly more artistically ambitious than I expected.
