Not to belittle Medium, because I think it's a wonderful place, but it's not unlike a major artist (Bruce, perhaps?) hitting the rehearsal studio and a few small bars in preparation for a world tour. It's a place to hone and experiment. That is to say, I don't think it's the final destination for most writers here, but I do think it provides worthwhile preparation for whatever that destination might be.

Sometimes playing the same riff over and over again results in the performance of the song being that little bit better.
