There I was on Twitter when Tony Stubblebine threw down the gauntlet. How about some easy recipes with step-by-step instructions?
Having run a restaurant for seven years I thought, how hard can it be? I’ll update that sentiment at the end of this article.
PART ONE
Food is just so fantastic that most people try and have some every day. So if you’re going to go to the trouble of making it yourself, you want it to be the best it can possibly be, right?
What could be better than some fresh brown trout from the Tyenna River in Tasmania? With that in mind, let’s get started.
Step One: Move to Tasmania. Yes, I know that could be a bit logistically challenging, but I don’t expect it will take more than a year.
Step Two: Buy a fishing rod and a licence. Yes, you need both of those to catch brown trout in Tasmania.
Step Three: Learn to fish. River fishing is not like sea fishing where you just throw out a line and the fish fight over who’s going to take the bait. Or even lake fishing for that matter. No. It’s a subtle art. So give yourself a decade or so and I think you’ll be…
