Some important songs for me too, particularly David Bowie and Patti Smith. I often find myself in that vulnerable mood making the long drive into the Tasmanian mountains to go fishing. That feeling that I'm going to be able to let go of the stresses of daily life, even if just for a day or so.

And of course once I'm sitting by the river, ruminating, Pissing in a River often comes across the inner turntable.

I love Hickory Wind. Looking forward to hearing Gillian's version.

"It's a hard way to find out That trouble is real" Reminds me of a cousin, who I was close to, who suffered some of the same torments as your brother. May they both rest in peace.
