The horse has bolted, John. If this is Apple at work, a company that at least pretends to have a social conscience, then this is at minimum, business as usually for most corporations.

Can you name a major tech company that doesn't use Foxconn? I can't.

I recall vividly the rise of "economic rationalism" in Australia and the notion that corporations only have one responsibility. That responsibility is to return profit for the benefit of their shareholders. Doing anything less than that was "criminal".

That mentality has arrived at its logical conclusion.
