This is entirely true, however a walk to the beach remains an incredibly pleasurable experience.
I'm not a vinyl purist, even though I have a lot of them. It's not about the sound quality or any of that, I just enjoy records. I also think they have a socio-historical context that streaming will never achieve (and actually, kind of avoids).
And the same applies to streaming. It's not about the quality, it's about what Bob Dylan might describe as there being nothing to turn off.
Simon's point about not trusting the whims of corporate interests is also valid.
