Three species in nine years. The saddest part about Joni's song today is that so many don't even know what has gone.

Yet, in Tasmania, where everyone knows the story of the Thylacine, driven to extinction by government and farmers in cahoots, still so many don't care.

I heard a story recently of a lady taken to hospital after drinking water from the base of Russell Falls. Supposedly one of the most pristine Nation Parks in the world. The culprit? Pesticide and fertiliser run off from farms probably, though I'm sure the official conclusion was "inconclusive".
